I'll be honest, the Railroad is my current favorite playthrough. I think, in general, some kind of area control system where patrols and such in the areas of control go up, the settlers might be somewhat more unique (escaped synths and railroad agents in railroad settlements, disguised of course, BoS squires and training groups in the BoS settlements, etc).Įven better if raids could then be by enemy factions to take and gain control of the settlement (preferably only on the 'front lines', but that might be harder to determine).Įven better then that if they would do some of this without the player being involved at all to expand their area with or without your help (but I tend to prefer a living world over a PC who is at the center of every action and consequence). However at the moment these last two have no apparent impact really.

We already get hints of it with the minutemen (obviously) and then with the BoS making you go and co-op settlements to support the BoS and then with the Railroad having you set up a safehouse. On the more safehouses aspect, I would actually like to see this as basically it's own mod.Īn area control game.
